-2.4 pounds
Honestly my first instinct was "That's all?!" My co-worker who attends meetings with me and is already much smaller than me pulled in a 4 pound weight loss in week 1. And I really rocked it out this week. I think I bought into the fact that "Week 1" is supposed to be a magical number you never really experience again.
But the more I think about it the more I'm doing ok with that number. First, it is a loss after all, so that's good. I also asked my leader who asked me about my exercise. When I said I worked out 4 times that week, she mentioned that when you first start working out your muscles like to hold on to extra fluid and it takes 2-3 weeks for the regular exercise to get the muscles to settle into a new routine.
So ultimately I am exactly where I was last night.
1. I did the plan and was successful this week.
2. I need to do the plan as wholeheartedly this week as last week.
So that's what I'm going to do.

2.4 is NOTHING to sneeze at. You will have weeks with more (part of being bigger is that we're more likely to have larger losses) you will have weeks with less. You have the best attitude possible. Just keep moving forward.
The best news is you lost something not gained something! I always figure at least I didn't gain something! Be proud of yourself and know that your making strides!
Excellent Liz! You are sticking to it, eating right and being active! You will continue to succeed! I'm glad you made it even though you didn't get much sleep, it shows your determination and that is KEY!

2.4 pounds is awesome!!! If you lost that much every week for 1 year, you'd lose over 124 pounds. Obviously, you are doing everything right, and that has been reflected in the scale. Congratulations!
Great job Liz! You are doing it and I am so happy for you! It's hard but the pay off is so worth it! Keep it up!
