On one of our last summer outings we had a playdate at the zoo with Siena and her parents, Melissa and John. Siena was baby goat's first live-in girlfriend. They shared the NICU room for about 2 weeks before we were released. He was already a month old (and change) by the time she came to join us in the room.
It appears that they picked up just where the left out - check out that hand holding! Plus baby goat is sharing food! It must be love.

It is amazing how far they have come. Life is amazing.

What a blessing that you still have that connection, that friendship. Such a wonderful gift for you and Hubby!
God is great!
Living miracles ~ both of them. What a sweet memory!
i have to say, i'm super bummed we didn't connect with anyone in the NICU. we were there for 53 days, but no other babies stayed that long so i never really made friends with any of the parents. any NICU reunion we would have would just be with the the nurses. ah well.
Fun! With my first we were in a big room with other babies and there was one mom that I connected with really well. We still exchange Christmas cards each year and just saw each other last winter. Love it.
But with Nora we had a private room and didn't get to meet any other parents. I missed that connection and support from others while there.
So glad you had that and a reunion with your little miracles is so fun!
Wow. That is beautiful. I bet that they have a subconscious memory of each other!
