Oooh, I'm home sick, so you asked for it!

1. I work for a company that makes a hardwood floor cleaner, so by default, that is my favorite. Other than that, we use Clorox wipes like they are going outta style.

2. I just finished Your Oasis on Flame Lake by Lorna Landvik. I've read it before but picked it up again instead of buying a new book.

3. V-Day is hubby's birthday, and with the boys older they can be involved. There will be cake baking and decorating, gifts to open, etc. The day isn't ever really Valentine's day for me.

4. Dumb and sappy or cute and sappy, either way I can't wait to see it. I did see it get a great review this morning. And with that cast, how can you go wrong? I'm hoping to find it similar to Love Actually, one of my favorite movies.

5. Other. A card with a handwritten note is okay, but I get irritated if my husband spends money on me when I know we have credit card debt to pay off.

6. I do hope to watch, but you never know with kids. If they pitch a fit, no go.

7. I think I'd like to be a swimmer because if I was an olympic swimmer at 20, I could still continue to do that for the rest of my life.

8. Technically, no. Isn't that March 21st?

9. Winter is fine, but only because I spend no time outside and I've got lots to keep me busy inside.

10. A whole week? I'd be in St. Maarten with my sister. She and her husband are vacationing there right now.

Okay, so I'm only 10 in. This is a long list!

11. See #2. I read the same books over and over instead of buying new. And I can't use the library because late fees save me nothing.

12. Has he had egg already? If he's had the major parts of cake separately, I think you'd be okay, especially if he has no other signs of allergies and they don't run in the family. Then again, I'm no expert. Ask your Ped if you're really concerned. My kids had both had cake long before age 1 so it wasn't an issue. I don't have any defense for that besides we're a bakery family, that is how it is.

13. I've never been a huge fan, but yes, it is exciting. It would be more exciting if they would just make a deal with Mauer already.

14. Marble. Best of both worlds. From my SIL's bakery of course.

15. Bins and laundry baskets.

16. Horribly. And I'm constantly losing track. I really shouldn't be allowed to take care of them.

17. If it is heartfelt and soon I'd think you'll be fine.

18. I Should Be Folding Laundry

19. No fancy camera. I (and my kids) break stuff so that just isn't a good idea for us right now.

20. Baked macaroni and cheese.

Whew. Do you regret asking yet?

Ok, I'll answer what I can.

1) I LOVE Arm and Hammer multi-purpose cleanser. It's the one that comes in the tiny containers and you mix it with water in a spray bottle. It's eco-friendly and does an awesome job. I also like Windex multi-purpose. It cuts through a lot of crud and it's great for windows and mirrors.

2) Play Together, Stay Together- It's about having a healthy relationship with your dog.

3) No big plans. Why take a single day to celebrate our togetherness? That's what our anniversary's for!

4) I just saw a preview last night and the sound was off on the t.v., so I have no idea.

5) Chocolate! Always, always chocolate. I especially love coconut or a brownie from Lift (fantastic brownies).

6) Some friends are having a party to celebrate it, so yes.

7) Swimming or horseback riding. Otherwise, while not an olympic sport, I'd love to do the Iditarod.

8) Not quite. There's even snow in VA.

9) Copious amounts of hot chocolate, cuddling with dogs and Hans, and, oh yeah, I live in VA.

10) Oddly enough, right now I'd probably go to Utah or Colorado. I really want to go skiing.

11) Hardly ever eat out, buy discount at the grocery store, and we don't have cable.

12) Well, he's already had icing.

13) I'm not really affected by it.

14) Marble cake. Otherwise, Chocolate with marble frosting or chocolate with chocolate frosting. Vanilla was only meant to compliment chocolate in my opinion.

15) I only have dog toys, but they're stored in a big basket on a shelf (where the dogs can't get them). The basket is cute and has paw prints on the side so it looks better than a plain old box. As a kid, I had a big toy chest. That seemed to work well.

16) I keep them all in a file in my file cabinet. I don't worry about grouping or order. I know that if it's in there, I'll find it.

17) I think you're allowed two months. Hey, I just received a "New Year's" card.

18) www.dietgirl.org. Her story is inspirational, and her posts are often funny. I recommend reading her book first: The Amazing Adventures of Dietgirl.

19) It's Hans', and I'm not quite sure what it is, but it's the same as Garrett's. I have a small Nikon digital. I like the Nikon brand. It's easy to use and takes good pictures.

20) Chocolate in a rush, or pierogies if I have time. Can you tell I like chocolate?

Yep, I should be working. Oh well: )

1. My husband. Not green, but I don't see him destroying the ozone or going into a landfill anytime soon.

2. ScreamFree Parenting by Hal Runkel. Don't get me started.

3. Kids to bed early and crab legs for dinner with DH.

4. Cute & sappy. I'm with Kim hoping its Love Actually Redux

5. Drawings from the girls, something innocuous from DH that he remembered me mentioning months ago.

6. Maybe - more into the actual events but I suspect the girls would love it.

7. Marathon Sleeping.

8. Only in warm places where I get angry with my coworkers for visiting.

9. See #8. Generally not bad but January was horrible for sad reasons.

10. A cruise to warm places.

11. Have a 2 y/o and a 3 y/o at home - seriously curbs the eating out and the entertaining budgets. Man, I could clean up just by babysitting at the rates they pull in these days.

12. Kim's got a good point. Assuming no allergy issues, go for it. As a follow-on to Q11, several stores offer free "smash cakes" for 1st birthdays - Kowalski's does a very cute little one, $0. Not great quality but free is good and very messy for the old standard icing-in-hair photos.

13. OMG yes. I look out on Target Field from my office and taking my parents to the Easter weekend exhibition against the Cardinals. Can't wait!

14. Vanilla.

15. What is this strange concept you speak of? Actually, DH built cool shelving to hold rubbermaid bins, sort-of-sorted by toy type.

16. DH manages this process as he's home during the day and is in charge of mail triage. Whatever is delegated to me is in one stack on top of our pantry until it starts getting too big and tips over onto me - then I know it's time to go through them.

17. Two days after you get them sent. Same boat here, ma'am.

18. What is one of your favorite blogs to read (besides mine of course, lol)? Pioneer Woman.

19. No fancy camera here.

20. Hashbrown Casserole (like Cracker Barrels). Yum.

1. I love Mrs. Meyers Lemon Verbena all-purpose spray & dish soap, Dr. Bronners almond soap, baking soda, and vinegar.

2. I’m in between books. Last one I read was Orthodoxy by G.K. Chesterton. It was great (you’d like it, Liz!).

3. Church, then my parents are baby-sitting and we’re going to an Italian restaurant for dinner.

4. Dumb, cute, and sappy – I can’t wait :)

5. Well, between those three I’d always choose diamonds ;) – I do love flowers, though. I’m not a huge chocolate person, although I will be baking these sometime soon – they’re from my friend’s blog and I’m very excited! http://savour-fare.com/2010/02/10/love-and-chocolate-molten-chocolate-rosemary-cakes/ We don’t exchange Valentine’s gifts, though, except for cards, so I will stop thinking about diamonds now. ;)

6. Absolutely!! When I was living in a house with friends after college, we threw a h-u-g-e Olympics party for the opening ceremonies, complete with frosted Olympic logo cookies and dressing like your favorite athlete. It was so much fun – I want to do that again sometime!

7. Figure skating – except, I hate ice skating in real life. It just looks so great on TV. ;)

8. It's spring here – sorry…

9. Err… we haven’t had much of a winter. Again, sorry. :(

10. I am not a beach person, but lying on a beach sounds really great right now!

11. We already trimmed the fat off our budget (cancelled unnecessary subscriptions/services, use the library, coupons, etc.) so once you’ve done that it’s hard. One thing that helps us is writing down every purchase. I use Mint.com (which does that for you). It keeps track of how much you’ve spent each month in every category – you enter your budget, and get an e-mail when you are close to hitting it. It is fantastic.

12. Anna hadn’t really had any processed sugar to speak of before she had her birthday cake – we just gave it to her. But I guess it wouldn’t hurt to make sure he doesn’t have an egg allergy? Anna had had bread with eggs in it so I thought it’d be okay (it was).

13. Nope :)

14. I love white cake and, even better, lemon cake!

15. Uh, well, they’re not organized so much as stored. In our loft (TV room) we have a Target bookshelf (similar to the IKEA Expedit) and a bunch of baskets. Anna’s toys and books are all in the shelf, and the baskets are soft so she can pull them down and not hurt herself. I used to have blocks in one, toys in another, etc. but that is a pain to keep track of, so at the end of the day we just pile everything back into the baskets and put them away. It’s really easy, much more so since I let go of “like needing to be with like.” As long as they’re put away, I’m happy.

16. I have a two-drawer file box. The top drawer is for “action” items – bills that need paying, invitations that need RSVPs, etc. Every week I go through it and handle each item. The bottom drawer is “to be filed.” I put paid bills, cards, anything I want to save in there. Every month or so, I go through and weed that out. All financial stuff gets scanned and filed on our hard drive (which gets backed up to Carbonite). All cards/personal stuff I want to save goes in a box that I keep in our office.

17. I firmly believe that it is never, never, never too late to send a thank-you note!!!

18. Besides my friends’ blogs, I love home & style blogs by real families/parents with cool DIY projects and kid stuff. Some of my favorites are younghouselove.com, flythroughourwindow.com, theletteredcottage.net, lifeingraceblog.com, and megduerksen.typepad.com.

19. I have a Canon Rebel Xti and I LOVE it. Can’t say enough about it.

20. Probably ice cream. I can’t say enough about that either. ;)

2. What book are you reading right now? (or the last one you read?)
The Tombs of Atuan. Have you read the Earthsea series?

3. What are your plans for Valentine's Day?
I don't think Chris and I have celebrated Valentine's Day since the first year we were together. We'll probably be working.

6. Are you going to watch the Opening ceremonies for the Olympics?
No, I'm boycotting the Olympics.

7. If you could be an olympic athlete which sport would you do? Marathon!

10. Where would you go if you could escape for a week?
Anywhere warm that doesn't have cell phone coverage.

11. What do you do to save money?
Not eat out. It's amazing how much planning meals and grocery shopping a week at a time saved us last year.

14. Chocolate cake or vanilla cake?
Chocolate for me. You might want to go with vanilla for Baby Goat.

16. How do you organize your bills/letters?
It's a pile. Sigh.

18. What is one of your favorite blogs to read (besides mine of course, lol)?
http://freerangekids.wordpress.com/

19. If you have a fancy camera what kind do you have?
I will be buying on this spring. I'm currently planning on a Nikon.

8. I wish. . .you don't want to get me started.

9. Not well.

10. Anywhere tropical.

11. Oh lots of things, we cut out Dish/Cable and have the DTV conveter, clip coupons, stay home, watch for sales, drive the car vs. the truck.

12. Random is WAY more fun. Murray hated his cake (probably because we didn't give him sugar). Now he can't get enough cookies.

13. Um, not a baseball fan.

14. French Fries.

15. Random piles throughout the house.

16. See number 15.

1. I hate cleaning. But I like trying to be more "green" and I like to use products that don't smell like normal cleaning products. I've found that Seventh Generation is good about both of those.

2. Currently on my first foray into the Brontes: Jane Eyre. Love it so far.

3. Valentine's Day is a Sunday. Since I'm single, I plan on sitting at home and watching the Food Network, same as I do every Sunday.

4. Cute and sappy. But it also kind of looks like a rip-off of Love Actually set during a different holiday. So I'm on the fence.

5. Yes. They're all pretty. Depending on the chocolate, anyway.

6. Probably not. I'm going to try to boycott the Olympics this year because women ski jumpers are not allowed to compete.

7. Decathlon. (unless you're limiting this to winter sports, then I'd say snowboarding - half pipe).

8. Based on how much snow is on the ground, no.

9. Not bad. It would be a lot worse if I had to shovel.

10. Vegas.

11. I try not to eat out, especially for coffee and lunch. It's harder than I thought it would be, but I've managed to be at least marginally successful.

13. More excited than you could possibly imagine. I love the Twins, and I'm so excited to see them play in a nice stadium.

14. Depends on my mood. I generally prefer yellow cake with chocolate frosting.

15-16. Organize? HA! I use online bill pay to pay my bills, though. The more online, the better.

17. It's never too late, especially to grandparents and the like. They'll just love to hear from you.

18. "You Suck At Craigslist." (http://www.yousuckatcraigslist.com/)

19. I have an Olympus point-and-shoot camera that I really like, but it's not fancy. And it takes pretty bad dark pictures.

20. Nachos. Yeah, not your typical comfort food. But I make them myself with just chips/cheese/salsa in the microwave, and it's just wonderful.

I'm too tired for all 20, so I'll just pick one: 14.

Why choose? I like marble. (nice taste, Kim)
